What's There To Know?
Sustainable Development - Our Commitment
We know and love the Grenadines and want to help people whose dreams take them here too. However we also care about these islands’ communities, ecosystems and environmental qualities – the assets that make the Grenadines so wonderful; and we are conscious of our wider environmental responsibilities too.
Whether in the form of resorts, hotels, villas or “second homes”. The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is keen to encourage tourism-related developments, whilst being equally keen to protect and retain the environment and culture that visitors find so attractive. As proponents of sustainable forms of development, we support the principles of “Ecotourism” and encourage our clients to take these to heart when considering investment and development.
Investors who are not citizens of St. Vincent & the Grenadines or any company incorporated outside of the country (or in the country if it is under alien control) must obtain an Aliens Land Holding Licence from the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines before they can legally own real estate in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. We have been through this procedure numerous times and so far all our clients have always received the license, to own property in the country. To receive the licence the intending purchaser must act through an attorney and provide him/her with the relevant particulars. The attorney would then prepare an application (there is no prescribed form) and submit the application (together with a fee of EC$ 2,500.00) to the office of the Prime Minister for consideration by the cabinet. Consideration of an application usually takes 2 - 3 months.
The Property Market – As land becomes more limited due to that the island is becoming more discovered, property values can be expected to rise further and further. The challenge here is going to be to attract sensible, environment-friendly, economy-enhancing development without harming the very special character and appeal that this part of the Caribbean exudes. Meeting that challenge is one of Our Primary Aims.
Why Should You Invest - As Uncertainties In the UK, Europe & USA are continuing, It Appears to be a good idea to invest on a peaceful island like Bequia which has been untouched & stable from worldly quarrels For the longest while. To invest in the real estate market now can be an advantage before the market jumps as indications show.
